WPSU & the Committee for the Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair are producing a special episode of the popular Our Town series, Our Town: The Grange Fair. Production for this program will take place throughout the fair, August 26 – September 2, 2010, and we want you to be a part of the show!

"A Family Tradition" -- The Centre County Grange Encampment and Fair, better known as "The Grange Fair," is August 26-September 2, 2010. The Grange Fair is a city within a town, as campers "move into" the Grange Park in Centre Hall, PA to live for more than a week.

REMINDER: Pets are not permitted in the Grange Fairgrounds or camping area during The Grange Fair, however seeing eye dogs are permitted.

GRANGE FAIR HEADLINES...

Available for 2010 at the Grange Fair Emporium...The pottery cheese pot and the 2010 Ornament which celebrates the beloved tractor pulls at our own Grange Fair! You'll find them both available for sale in the Emporium! In addition, you'll find the Round Barn Centennial Basket by the Centre Hall Women's Club, funds support our scholarships and charitable activities in Centre Hall & Potter Township. [Click to download and order form] Baskets will be available at the Grange Fair Emporium!

Good Causes on Grove Street: The Centre Country Grange Fair and Encampment will be providing three - 10 foot by 10 foot canopies and a table and a bench for Good Causes at the 2010 fair! Each Good Cause will have one day at the Fair to sell chances, display what they do, sign people up, etc. The Good Cause must be a charity, or a 501(c)(3) or a not for profit group - for instance a relay for life team, or a Band Booster's Group, or a fire company auxilliary, etc. The group needs to complete this form and either e-mail it to LeDon Young or mail it to LeDon Young - PO Box 258, Centre Hall, PA 16828. If more than 21 applications are received, The Fair Committee will conduct a drawing for the spots. [The Fair Committee reserves the right to determine the groups that will be included in this program. The Fair Committee's decision will be final. Submission of an application implies consent to all rules and regulations regarding this initiative. Thank you.]
